Gereedschap dat bij het drukken wordt gebruikt voor het graveren van metalen platen of kopse houtblokken en dat bestaat uit een klein stalen staafje, vierkant of ruitvormig in doorsnede, met een scherpe punt en een halfrond houten handvat dat in de handpalm past. Binnen een archeologische context verwijst de term naar een specifieke vuistbijl of kling met een beitelrand; wordt gebruikt voor het beeldsnijden of graveren van zachtere materialen zoals been, hout of gewei. Gebruik 'graveerstiften' voor divers gereedschap voor het ciseleren of graveren van metaal of hout. |

In der Archäologie ist dies ein spezialisiertes Blättchen oder eine Klinge mit einer Querschneide; sie wird zum Ritzen oder Gravieren von weicherem Material verwendet wie beispielsweise Knochen, Holz oder Geweih.
