Note: A mixture of oil, usually olive oil, and balsam that is consecrated for use as an unguent in the administration of certain sacraments (baptism, confirmation, and ordination) and in the performance of certain ecclesiastical functions in the Catholic, Orthodox, and Anglican churches. It is consecrated on Maundy Thursday by bishops in the West and by patriarchs in the East. In Orthodox churches the mixture can also include other ingredients such as wine, nuts, and gum. The annointing with chrism is sometimes called chrismation, especially after baptism.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 混合油類，通常是橄欖油，和被奉為神聖的香脂，用來做為施行特定宗教聖禮(施洗、堅信禮，及神職之任命)，以及在天主教、東正教與英國國教教會執行特定(基督)教會職務的藥膏。在濯足節中，它被西方的主教及東方的最高主教奉為神聖之物。在東正教的教會中，此混合油亦可包含其他成分，例如葡萄酒、核果和樹脂。塗抹聖油有時也稱為傅油(chrismation)，特別是在施洗之後。 |
| Dutch ..... Mengsel van olie (meestal olijfolie) en balsem, dat wordt gewijd als zalf bij de toediening van bepaalde sacramenten (doop, vormsel en priesterwijding) en bij de uitvoering van bepaalde liturgische handelingen in de katholieke, orthodoxe en anglicaanse kerk. In het westen wordt het chrisma op Witte Donderdag gewijd door de bisschoppen, en in het oosten door de kerkpatriarchen. In de orthodoxe kerken kan het mengsel ook andere bestanddelen bevatten, zoals wijn, noten en gom. De zalving met chrisma wordt soms ook wel chrismatie genoemd, met name na een doop. |

Una mezcla de aceites, generalmente de aceite de oliva y bálsamo, que es consagrado y empleado como ungüento en la administración de sacramentos (bautizo, confirmación y ordenación), en el ejercicio de algunas unficones eclesiásticas en las iglesias católica, ortodoxa y anglicana. En el oeste es consagrado por los obispos y en el este por los patriarcas, en el día de Jueves Santo. En las iglesias ortodoxas esta mezcla puede incluir otros ingredientes como vino, nueces y goma. Algunas veces la unción del crisma se denomina crismación, especialmente después de el bautizo. |
