Note: Genus of the family Sapotaceae containing over 100 species grows from Southeast Asia to the Pacific. | Dutch ..... Geslacht van de familie Sapotaceae met meer dan 100 plantensoorten, die voorkomen van Zuidoost-Azië tot in de Stille Oceaan. Dit geslacht is vooral bekend als de bron van guttapercha, een product dat wordt gewonnen uit het latex van de boom (meestal de Palaquium gutta die op Sumatra, Malaya, Java en Borneo voorkomt) nadat die is getapt of omgehakt. |
