Note: Couches having raised head ends and various distinctive styles of legs, used in ancient Greece chiefly for sleeping and dining but also for laying out the dead during ritual mourning and in their tombs. The earliest depictions are in funerary scenes on Geometric vases.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 古希臘時期所用，具隆起頭靠與各式特殊風格椅腳的躺椅，主要提供睡眠與進餐用途，但亦可於哀悼儀式期間以及在墓穴中，用以擺放死者遺體；其圖案最早乃見於幾何型花瓶上所繪的喪葬景象。 |

Banken met een verhoogd hoofdeinde en verschillende soorten poten, in het oude Griekenland voornamelijk gebruikt om op te slapen of te eten, maar ook om doden op te baren in hun tombes of voor rouwrituelen. De vroegste afbeeldingen van klinai vindt men in begrafenistaferelen op geometrische vazen. |
