Note: Breed of dog that is large, powerfully built, with a massive head and drooping ears, standing a minimum of 25 inches (63.5 cm), and weighing up to 200 lbs (91 kg). Its coat is red-brown and white or brindle and white and may be either short and dense or medium-long. They are bred as pathfinders and rescue dogs at the hospice founded by St. Bernard of Montjoux in Great St. Bernard Pass in the Pennine Alps.

| Dutch ..... Fysiek sterke hondensoort met een grote kop en hangende oren die speciaal zijn gefokt om mensen op te sporen en te redden. De schofthoogte is minimaal 63,5 cm en ze kunnen 90 kg zwaar worden. De vacht is roodbruin en wit of vlekkerig bruin en wit en is dicht en kortharig of tussen kortharig en langharig in. Ze worden gefokt in het hospitium dat door Sint-Bernard van Montjoux is gesticht in de Grote Sint-Bernardpas, in de Walliser Alpen. |
