Note: Psalteries of the Near East, Turkey, North Africa, and parts of Asia and southeastern Europe, with from 50 to 100 strings of gut, metal, or nylon strung in courses of three over a shallow trapezoidal box, the belly of which is partially covered with animal skin. Some contemporary models have small brass levers controlling string tension.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指近東地區、土耳其、北非、亞洲及東南歐某些地區的薩泰里琴，具有五十根至一百根不等的羊腸弦、金屬弦或尼龍弦，三根琴弦為一組，越過淺梯形的共鳴箱，部份琴肚覆有獸皮。現代的坎農琴有些具有操控琴弦張力的小型黃銅桿。 |

Psalters met 50-100 snaren van darm, metaal of kunststof in bundels van 3 gespannen over een platte, trapeziumvormige klankkast, met dierenhuid over de bodem; 20ste eeuwse modellen hebben soms koperen knoppen voor het spannen; Nabije-Oosten, Turkije, Noord-Afrika, delen van Azië en Zuidoost-Europa. |

Algunos modelos actuales tienen pequeñas palancas de bronce para controlar la tensión de las cuerdas. |
