Note: Optical toys that create moving images, consisting of a series of sequential drawings mounted on the inner wall of a revolving drum and facing the center where they are reflected by a many-sided drum containing a set of mirrors equal in number to the number of drawings and revolving in the opposite direction, the whole to be viewed through a special eyepiece; developed in the late 1870s as an improvement over zoetropes and phenakistoscopes.

Dutch ..... Optisch speelgoed dat bewegende beelden creëert en dat bestaat uit een reeks opeenvolgende plaatjes aan de binnenzijde van een draaiende trommel, die naar binnen zijn gekeerd waar ze worden gereflecteerd door een veelhoekige trommel met evenveel spiegeltjes erop als het aantal afbeeldingen tegen de buitenste trommel; de twee trommels draaien in tegengestelde richtingen en het geheel wordt bekeken door een speciaal oculair. Ontwikkeld aan het eind van de jaren 1870 als een verbetering op de phenakistoscoop en zoëtropen 
Portuguese ..... Brinquedos óticos que criam imagens em movimento, consistindo em uma série de desenhos sequenciais montados na parede interna de um tambor giratório e voltados para o centro onde são refletidos por um tambor multifacetado contendo um conjunto de espelhos igual em número ao número de desenhos e girando na direção oposta ao todo para ser visto por uma ocular especial; desenvolvido no final da década de 1870 como um aprimoramento dos zoétropos e fenacistoscópios. 
Spanish ..... Juguetes ópticos que crean imágenes cambiantes y que consisten en una serie de dibujos secuenciales montados en la pared interna de un tambor giratorio y enfrentando el centro donde son reflejados por un tambor de muchos lados que contiene un juego de espejos iguales en número al número de dibujos y que giran en la dirección opuesta, para ser visto todo el conjunto a través de un lente especial; desarrollado a fines de los años 1870 como una mejora a los zoetropos y fenaquistiscopios.
