Note: Highland Scottish sheath knives, daggerlike in appearance, having a blade with a single full-length cutting edge and a back which has a sharpened edge extending up for a short distance from the point, and a grip swelling in the center with a disc-shaped pommel. Also, short swords or daggers carried by navy officers in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Gebruik voor de steekwapens uit de Schotse Hooglanden met een dolkachtig uiterlijk. Gebruik ook voor de korte zwaarden of dolken door marine officieren in de 18e en 19e eeuw uitgevoerd. Ze hebben een snijdende kling met aan de achterkant een korte snede bij de punt. De greep is in het midden dikker dan aan de uiteinden en is voorzien van een schijfvormige gevestknop. 
Spanish ..... Úsese para cuchillos con fundas de las Tierras Altas Escocesas, similares en apariencia a una daga, con un solo filo cortante a todo lo largo, y un dorso con un filo que se prolonga hacia arriba por una corta distancia desde la punta, y una empuñadura que se engruesa en el centro con un pomo en forma de disco. Use también para las espadas cortas o dagas portadas por oficiales navales en los siglos XVIII y XIX.
