Note: Refers to a pottery style that developed in the region of Laconia in the Peloponnese from around 600 BCE to around 550 BCE or later. It is characterized by the use of black-figure designs, often on a white slip, and motifs include pomegranates, lotus buds, palmettes, figures, and a net pattern. Laconian clay fires to a pale buff color in contrast to the orange-red color of Athenian clay.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een aardewerkstijl die tussen circa 600 en circa 550 voor Christus tot ontwikkeling kwam in Laconia, een landstreek op de Peloponnesos. De stijl wordt gekenmerkt door zwartfigurige ontwerpen, vaak aangebracht op een blanke engobe, met motieven als granaatappels, lotusknoppen, palmetten, figuren en netpatronen. Bij het bakken van Laconische klei krijgt deze een vaalgele kleur, in tegenstelling tot het oranjerood van de Atheense klei. |
