Note: Refers to a Greek pottery style that began in Eastern Greece and flourished from about 650 to 550 BCE. It grew out of Sub-Geometric and Orientalizing styles, and is characterized by a loose painting style using dark paint on a light colored slip, enlivened with purple details, and with faces and anatomical details reserved in light. The subject matter often includes animals, especially goats, deer, geese, and griffins.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een Griekse aardewerkstijl die ontstond in het oosten van Griekenland rond het midden van de 7de eeuw v. Chr. Deze kwam voort uit Sub-Geometrische en Oriëntaliserende stijlen, en kenmerkt zich door een losse schilderstijl, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van donkere verf op een licht gekleurde engobe, verlevendigd met paarse details, en met in licht uitgespaarde gezichten en anatomische details. De onderwerpen zijn vaak dieren, met name geiten, herten, ganzen en griffioenen. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere a un estilo de cerámica griega que se inicia en Grecia Oriental alrededor de mediados del siglo VII a.C. Se originó de estilos sub-geométricos y Orientalizantes y se caracteriza por un estilo de pintura suelto que usa pintura oscura sobre un engobe coloreado de color claro, avivado con detalles de púrpura y con detalles de caras y anatomía reservados en claro.
