Note: Refers to the style named for the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Sculptural productions in this style include bronzes constructed in the Indian Amaravati style, Buddha statues dressed in robes with one shoulder exposed, terracotta figures, monoliths featuring outlines of male figures, tau-tau wooden images of ancestors, life-size figures in cliff caves dressed in ceremonial garments, and carved images of the sacrificial buffalo and the Tree of Life symbolizing fertility. In crafts, the style features baskets made from bamboo and lontar palm leaves and covered in layers of red and black lacquer and gold leaf. Lapidary styles feature bracelets, earrings in the shape of an open oval with reflexed ends, and hair pieces made from pearl, gold, silver, and embellished metal plates. Domestic architectural styles feature compact houses with roofs in the shape of arcs and a support system based on two vertical posts erected around the exterior of the house.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de stijl die is vernoemd naar het Indonesische eiland Sulawesi. Beeldhouwwerken in deze stijl zijn onder meer bronzen beelden in de Indiase Amaravati-stijl, beelden van een in een gewaad gehulde Boeddha met één ontblote schouder, terracotta figuren, monolieten met de omtrekken van mannelijke figuren, tau-tau houten beelden van voorouders, levensgrote figuren gekleed in ceremoniële kledij in grotten, en verbeeldingen van de offerbuffel en de levensboom die vruchtbaarheid symboliseert. Kenmerkend voor kunstnijverheid in deze stijl zijn mandjes van bamboe en lontarpalmbladeren afgewerkt met lagen rode en groene lak en bladgoud. In combinatie met edelstenen komt deze stijl tot uitdrukking in armbanden, oorringen in een open ovaalvorm met omgebogen uiteinden en haarsieraden met parels, goud, zilver en versierd metaal. In de huizenbouw komt deze stijl tot uitdrukking in compacte huizen met boogvormige daken, ondersteund door twee verticale palen buiten het huis. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere al estilo denominado por la isla indonesa de Sulawesi. La producción escultórica en este estilo incluyen bronces construidos en el estilo Amaravati indio, las estatuas de Buda vestidas con túnicas con un hombro expuesto, figuras de terracota, monolitos que ofrecen contornos de figuras masculinas, imágenes de madera de antepasados tau-tau, figuras en tamaño real en cuevas de acantilados vestidas con ropajes ceremoniales e imágenes talladas del búfalo de sacrificio y el Árbol de la Vida que simbolizan fertilidad. En artesanía, el estilo ofrece cestos hechos de bambú y hojas de palma de lontar y cubiertos en capas de laca roja y negra y hoja de oro. El estilo lapidario presenta pulseras, pendientes en la forma de un ovalo abierto con extremos reflectantes y piezas para el pelo hechas de perla, oro, argenta, y placas de metal embellecido. Estilos de arquitectura doméstica ofrecen casas compactas con tejados en la forma de arcos y un sistema de apoyo basado en dos postes verticales erigidos alrededor del exterior de la casa. |
