Dutch ..... De staatsiesloep waarmee de doge van Venetië het water op ging om de Adriatische zee te 'huwen' door er op Hemelvaartsdag een ring in te laten vallen; ook grote schepen of sloepen die vrolijk versierd zijn en op de oorspronkelijke Venetiaanse sloepen lijken. |

Staatsbarke, auf der historisch der Doge von Venedig am Himmelfahrtstag reiste, um sich durch das Werfen eines Ringes in die Adria symbolisch mit dem Meer zu vermählen; die Bezeichnung kann auch verwendet werden für jedes große Schiff oder jede große Barke mit prunkvoller Verzierung, das oder die den venezianischen Barken ähnlich ist. |
