Note: Extinct group that resembled amphibians but are often not included within the Amphibia class in the most recent classifications. This group contained a great variety of semiaquatic forms such as the snakelike Ophiderpeton, the "horned" Keraterpeton, and the microsaurs, such as Asaphestera. The lepospondylians became extinct during the Pennsylvanian subperiod.

Deze groep bevat een grote verscheidenheid aan semi-aquatische vormen, zoals de slangachtige Ophiderpeton, de 'gehoornde' Keraterpeton en microsauriërs zoals Asaphestera. De Lepospondyli stierven uit tijdens de Pennsylvania-onderperiode. |
