Rangoli Dance Company
Through percussive footwork and masterful expressive gesture, The Rangoli Dance Company, under the direction of founder Malathi Iyengar, presents a side of India rarely seen on the Western stage. At the Getty Center, this critically acclaimed company presents "Punkyakoti," a folk tale about a truthful cow and a tiger. The company, which is based in Los Angeles, will be joined by dancers who are visiting from India.

Eagle Spirit Dancers
Founded by Benjamin Hale, the Eagle Spirit Dancers perform works from North American Indian tribes of the Northwest, Southwest, and Great Plains. Today they present stories, songs, and dances that reflect and imitate our environment and the animal realm.

Rhythms of the Village founder Onochie Chukwurah performs animal folktales from Africa to music by the Rhythms of the Village drummers.

Animal Logic
Enjoy this two-person theatrical vaudeville performance that explores the connections between humans, especially children, and the diverse world of animals. Performers Joe Fria and Guilford Adams create humorous stories about the animal behavior, including Clara the rhinoceros, the star of Oudry's Painted Menagerie. Animal Logic is directed by Corey Madden, written by Laural Meade, and presented by the Center Theatre Group's P.L.A.Y. Program (Performing for the Los Angeles Youth).
