Emotional nuance, impeccable technique, and passionate dedication to the 18th- and 19th-century European string repertoire are the hallmarks of the world-renowned Artis Quartet. In this Sunday afternoon performance, the Quartet presents Romantic masterworks by Mendelssohn, Schubert, and Brahms to complement the exhibition From Caspar David Friedrich to Gerhard Richter: German Paintings from Dresden. American clarinetist Andy Lamy joins the Quartet for the performance of Brahms's evocative and melodic clarinet quintet.

About the Artis Quartet
The Artis Quartet—violinists Peter Schuhmayer and Johannes Meissl, violist Herbert Kefer, and cellist Othmar Müuller—has played and toured the world together for over 20 years, earning rave reviews throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
