The Villa Council Presents
The Getty Villa

The Villa Council Presents is an annual program related to the theme of antiquity made possible by the generous support of the Villa Council. Founded in 2001, the Villa Council is comprised of dedicated supporters of the arts who believe strongly in the mission and goals of the Getty Villa and support a variety of interdisciplinary programs including education, exhibitions, conservation, lectures, theater, and research. Free; a ticket is required.

Curator Spotlight Series
The Getty Center

This series of lectures focuses on artworks currently on display at the J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center, providing new insights into exhibitions, the collection, and issues they raise from the unique perspectives of the curators themselves. All presentations take place in the afternoon during Museum hours, with opportunities to view the artworks discussed both before and after the talks. Free; reservations recommended.

The Getty Center

This occasional series brings distinctive voices to the Getty to discuss the arts and the relationship of visual culture to our broader public culture. Speakers in the series, which launched in 2008, have included Bill Ivey and Lewis Hyde, Errol Morris and Ricky Jay, and Richard Sennett. Free; reservations required.
