Technique and Technology: Reproducing Roman Glass in the 19th Century

The resulting replicas, many made at the Rheinische Glashütten A.G. in Ehrenfeld, are remarkable for their quality and beauty. Michael Klein and Dunja Zobel-Klein of the Landesmuseum Mainz compare modern reproductions with their ancient models.
