The Glory of Angkor: Kingship and the Divine
Join Melody Rod-ari, assistant curator of South and Southeast Asian art, the Norton Simon Museum, for this two-part, two-museum course exploring the rich history of Cambodian art and architecture from the Angkor Period (about 802–1431). Examine Khmer Hindu and Buddhist sculpture (first session, Norton Simon), and the significance of Angkor Wat (second session, Getty Center). Course fee $35; $25 students and Norton Simon Museum members. Open to 25 participants.

Dengue Fever
Dengue Fever, whose exotic blend includes Cambodian rock, Afro grooves, surf, and garage psych, returns to the Getty with songs from their newest release, Cannibal Courtship. Featuring songs sung in English and Khmer (Cambodian), the band's unique take on 60s Cambodian pop and American surf rock has garnered praise and attention from fans and critics alike. The National Museum of Cambodia: Preserving Cultural Heritage
Hab Touch, Director General, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts in Cambodia and the former director of the National Museum of Cambodia (NMC), and Paul Jett, head of the Department of Conservation and Scientific Research at the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, speak about the conservation of bronzes from the collection of the NMC, followed by a conversation with Getty Conservation Institute's Sean Charette about Cambodia's cultural heritage and the role the NMC has played in its preservation.

From Heaven's Mirror: An Evening of Classical Cambodian Music and Dance featuring Ho Chan and Charya Cheam Burt
For more than a millennium, classical music and dance in Cambodia served as a bridge between the natural and the spiritual. In more recent times, they have become profound symbols of cultural resilience and renewal. To honor this enduring legacy, Durfee Foundation Master Musician Fellow Ho Chan has joined forces with acclaimed dancer Charya Cheam Burt to create a dynamic evening of work inspired by the exhibition.
