Working with Mapplethorpe
In order to consistently produce results that stood up to his high artistic standards, Robert Mapplethorpe exerted a great degree of control in his studio and over his models and portrait sitters. This panel brings together people who worked directly with Robert Mapplethorpe in the studio, as well as in galleries and museums to reflect on his methods, ideas, and goals.
