Rochus, Saint (French saint, ca. 1350-1378/1379)
|
Note: Christian saint, patron of those suffering from plague. He was probably a French noble who ministered to the poor and sick, and who himself recovered from the plague. The Golden Legend suggests life dates that are decades too early (1295-1327); his biography may be somewhat confused with an earlier legend. |
