Rogers, Ernesto N. (Italian architect and critic, 1909-1969)

Note: Born 16 March 1909; died 7 November 1969. Ernesto N. Rogers studied at Milan Polytechnic from 1927 to 1932 and received his diploma in Architecture in 1932. He founded the BBPR Architectural Studio, Milan, with Gianluigi Banfi, Ludovico Belgiojoso and Enrico Peressutti in 1932 and worked at the firm until his death in 1969. He was editor and architectural critic for various journals from 1931 to 1964, professor and director of the Institute of Humanities, Milan Polytechnic from 1964 to 1969, and member of several architectural assocations from 1935 to 1963. Rogers served on the Architects Advisory Panel for the Unesco buildings (built 1955-1958) in Paris, France. Italian architect.
