Odiorne, William C. (American photographer, 1881-1978)
|
Note: Born 12 October 1881, Odiorne moved to Saint Louis, Missouri ca. 1902 and began to work as a photographer. From 1908 to 1919, he worked as a commercial photographer in Saint Louis, Missouri, Boston, Massachusetts, Chicago, Illinois and New York City, New York. From 1919 to 1924 Odiorne worked as a photographer in New Orleans, Louisiana. From 1924 to 1932, Odiorne lived in Paris, where he worked as a commercial photographer and photographed the city in his spare time. In 1932 Odiorne returned to New York City, New York, and until the mid 1940s he worked as a photographer for the Metropolitain Museum of Art. At this time he also operated a commercial studio. In the late 1940s Odiorne moved to San Francisco, California. In the 1950s Odiorne moved to Los Angeles, California and until 1977 worked as a retoucher for a Beverly Hills studio. |
