Gakcheon (Korean painter and monk, active first half of 18th century)
|
Note: Gakcheon was a monk-painter active in Jeollanam-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Chungcheongnam-do (provinces) in the first half of the eighteenth century. He worked mainly with the monk-painter Uigyeom. Among the works in which Gakcheon participated are "Shakyamuni Buddha" from 1724 in the Eungjindang at Songgwangsa (temple) and "Amitabha Buddha" from 1730 at Dorimsa. |
