|
Note: Gakseong was a calligrapher and Buddhist monk of the mid-Joseon period. He was well versed in poetry and prose and was proficient at writing cursive and clerical scripts. His calligraphic style resembles that of Wang Xizhi. Among his writings are "Seonwonjip dojung gyeorui" (Annotated Collected Writings on the Origins of Seon), "Ganhwa gyeorui" (Resolving Uncertainty about Observing the Keyword), and "Seongmun sanguicho" (Excerpts from Buddhist Funeral Rites). |
