Legendre, Nicolas (French sculptor, 1619-1671)
|
Note: A French sculptor during the reign of Louis XIV of France, Legendre worked for convents, monastaries, teh Queen mother, as well as the King himself. He was close to both Sarrazin and LeBrun. He attempted to join the Academy of Saint Luke with the Academy Royal, which failed. He was received into the Academy Royal in 1664. |
