Sayles, Frederic Clark (American industrialist, born 1835)
|
Note: American industrialist in the textile manufacturing industry; son of Clark and Mary Ann Sayles (née Onley) and brother of William F. Sayles (W.F. Sayles). At eighteen, he worked for his brother's bleachery firm in Saylesville. On January 1, 1863, he became a partner of the business, with the subsequently created firm name of W.F. & F.C. Sayles.
