Note: The J. Paul Getty Museum serves as the umbrella organization for the Getty Leadership Institute. The GLI was created in response to the increasing complexity faced by the leaders of museums and other nonprofit institutions. It provides innovative educational opportunities based on the latest management theories and practices. The GLI's mission is also to convene museum leaders, board members, scholars, philanthropists, and public officials to discuss issues such as the eroding distinction between profit and nonprofit sectors, the changing culture of boards, and the increasing tensions among the values guiding a museum. |
