Fluxus (International group of artists, active 1960s-late 1970s)
|
Note: International avant-garde art and literary group formed officially in 1962, and was active from the 1960s through the 1970s. Taking its name from the Latin word for "flowing," the group advocated purging the world of bourgeois, commercial, and professional art. The work of Fluxus artists is characterized by the creation of multimedia and intermedia works used in street art events and concerts. |
