Uzziah, King of Judah (Judahite king, 8th century BCE)

Note: King of Judah, as recorded in the Old Testament (2 Chronicles 26), son and successor of Amaziah, and king of Judah; said to have ruled for 52 years (ca. 791–739 BCE). Assyrian records mention him (ca. 783–742 BCE). During his reign, Judah expanded westward with settlements in Philistia. |
