Ferrari, Donato (Italian painter, born 1933)
|
Note: Italian artist, he moved to Brazil in 1960. Before this, he studied painting at the Academia di Belle Arti, Rome, Italy. In Brazil, he held individual exhibitions and, in 1962, started to teach at the Estúdio Gravura. He still held exhibitions and, in 1968, became director of the Faculdade de Artes Plásticas da Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado. Together with Walter Zanini, he founded and organized the Plastic Arts Department of the Escola de Comunicação e Artes da Universidade de Sâo Paulo. He has an extensive academic background and currently is retired as head professor. |

| Portuguese ..... Artista italiano, fixou residência no Brasil a partir de 1960. Antes da mudança, estudou Pintura na Academia di Belle Arti, Roma, Itália. No Brasil, realiza exposições individuais e, em 1962, torna-se professor do Estúdio Gravura. Continua realizando exposições e, em 1968, torna-a diretor da Faculdade de Artes Plásticas da Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado. Juntamente com Walter Zanini, organiza e funda o Departamento de Artes Plásticas da Escola de Comunicação e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo. Tem extenso currículo acadêmico e atualmente é professor titular aposentado. |
