Note: German priest who had been a rabbi, converted to Catholicism. One of the four imperial commissioners in the Pfefferkorn controversy, tasked to examine Jewish books for blasphemy against Christianity. His work, "Judenbüchlein" (Cologne, 1508) described the conditions and customs of Jews in an effort to secure their conversion.
