Obrtel, Vít (Czech architect, 1901-1988)
|
Note: Student at the Prague Technical University from 1918-1925. He worked as an independent architect from 1931-1945. He was a member of Devětsil, and participated in the creation of its architectural section, Arděv. He became a member of the Left Front in 1929, and the Union of Socialist Architects and the Mánes Association of Plastic Artists both in 1933. He was an ardent defender of purism at the start of his career, but after 1926 he worked within the principles of constructivism. |
