Note: A composer who aspired to engage sensory perception through what she called “deep listening.” She was a founding member of the San Francisco Tape Music Center, and worked there with electronic sound and magnetic tape manipulation. She later created works that were entirely text and instruction-based. The accordion was her principle instrument as a musician.
