Bezerra, Vauluizo (Brazilian painter, born 1952)
|
Note: Expressionist painter, Vauluizo Bezerra is one of the most important artistic names of the 1970s in Bahia. He presents diversified works using different kinds of technics and medium. He studied at the Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal da Bahia. In the 1970s, he got in touch with the Brazilian concrete and neo-concrete art, but, in the 1980s, he returned to figuration and followed the expressionist orientation. In 2010, as a tribute to Lina Bo Bardi, he presented the installation "Trajetos" at the Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia. |

Apresenta variada obra em diferentes suportes e técnicas. Estudou na escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal da Bahia. Nos anos 70 entra em contato com a produção de arte concreta e neoconcreta brasileira, mas retoma a figuração na década de 80 e segue na orientação expressionista. Em 2010 realiza, em homenagem à Lina Bo Bardi, a instalação "Trajetos" no Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia |
