Note: Ca. 1852, White took up photography using the waxed-paper process. With his brother-in-law Thomas Keith, he photographed architectural sites around Edinburgh until ca. 1856. In 1856, White was a founding member of the Photographic Society of Scotland, Edinburgh. |
