Yun Dongseom (Korean calligrapher and government official, 1710-1795)
|
Note: Yun Dongseom was a calligrapher and civil official in the late Joseon Dynasty. He was trusted by King Yeongjo (r. 1724-1776) and King Jeongjo (r. 1776-1800) and served as a transcriber (seosagwan) until his later years. He became one of his era's noted calligraphers based on his studies of rubbings from stele tablets of the Han and Wei Dynasties in China. |
