Note: Scottish artist who had come to the US with Cottier in 1873. James S. Inglis is at first manager, then partner, and finally full owner of Cottier & Co., which opened New York branch in 1873; Posthumous sale held in 1909. New York gallery remained until 1915, when it went bankrupt and stock sold at auction. |
