Cabot, Petra (American painter and designer, 1907-2006)
|
Note: Born Emma Mearns, she later changed her name to Petra. Cabot is her married name. She studied painting and fine arts in her youth, but gained renown for her design for a large thermally insulated bucket called the Skotch Kooler in 1952. In 1945 she designed a mural depicting the National Maritime Union, and worked for the designer Russel Wright from 1938-1950. |
