Note: Roman general appointed himself an independent emperor of the Gallo-Roman Empire ca. 258-268, as rival to the emperor Gallienus. For a time he ruled Gaul, Britain, and Spain. He was killed by his own troops in Mogontiacum (Mainz, Germany). |
