Yi Hanbok (Korean painter and calligrapher, 1897-1940)
|
Note: Yi Hanbok was a painter and calligrapher active in the modern era. He was among first generation of painters in modern painting circles, and was skilled at painting themes such as bird-and-flower painting, landscapes, and still lifes. He excelled at calligraphy in various styles based on seal script of Oh Changseok (1844-1927) and was an aficionado of antiques who showed a keen eye. |
