Koch, Lucia (Brazilian mixed-media artist and sculptor, born 1966)
|
Note: Multimedia artist and sculptor. She has a masters degree in Visual Arts by the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and PhD in Visual Poetics by the Universidade de São Paulo. Her work consists of space interventions which aim to bring interactions and dialogues between architecture, light, and the participation of the human being with the environment. She started her career in the 1990s, making interventions in domestic spaces and founded the Grupo Arte Construtora. Her work also reaches the suburbs of São Paulo through the Jardim Miriam Arte Clube. Currently she is teaching Plastic Arts at the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado. |

Possui bacharelado e mestrado em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e doutorado em Poéticas Visuais pela Universidade de São Paulo. Sua obra consiste em intervenções em espaços que procuram trazer interações e diálogos entre a arquitetura, luz e a participação do homem com o ambiente. Iniciou sua carreira artística nos anos 90 realizando intervenções em espaços domésticos e da fundação do Grupo Arte Construtora. Seu trabalho também se estendeu para a periferia de São Paulo através do Jardim Miriam Arte Clube. Atualmente é professora de Artes Plásticas na Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado. |
