Came to Montréal, Québec, 1895. Junior draftsman in Robert Findlay office, Montréal, Québec, 1895-1900. Admitted to Province of Quebec Association of Architects (P.Q.A.A.), 1898. Travelled through Britain and Europe, 1900. Draftsman in Findlay's office, 1901-03. Draftsman, George Browne Post & Sons, New York, 1903-05. Married Mary Rutherford, 1905. Senior draftsman, Crichton & McKay, Wellington, New Zealand, 1905-06. Head draftsman, Welles W. Bosworth, New York, 1906-07. Joined Ross & MacFarlane, Montréal, Québec, 1907. Partner in Ross & Macdonald, Montréal, Québec, 1913-42. Member of the Ontario Association of Architects (O.A.A.), 1931. Elected President of the Province of Quebec Association of Architects (P.Q.A.A.), 1939. As partner in Ross & MacFarlane, Montréal, he designed the Montréal Forum, the Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens, and the T. Eaton Company stores in both cities. Canadian architect. |
