Huxtable, Ada Louise (American architectural critic, 1921-2013)

Note: Pioneering architecture critic who began her career as a full-time journalist in the early 1960s, writing for the New York Times. In 1970, Huxtable won the first Pulitzer Prize for criticism. Huxtable wrote for the Times until receiving a MacArthur grant in 1981; most recently her work was featured in the Wall Street Journal.
