Note: A city-wide network that links grass roots organizations, low-income neighborhoods and communities of color (EJ communities) in their struggle against environmental racism. Founded in 1991, NYCEJA supports community-led initiatives through its network of professional environmental advocates, attorneys, scientists and health specialists. NYCEJA provides resources that enable its Member Organizations to engage in effective advocacy on behalf of EJ communities that are disproportionately and adversely affected by environmental and health impacts of public and private actions and policies. NYCEJA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation. |
