Jacoby, Roger (American experimental filmmaker, 1945-1985)
|
Note: Originally a painter, Jacoby began making films in New York City in the 1960s. He used an Auricon single-system sound camera, and is known for hand-processing his films, which would effect the color, pattern, and texture of his footage. Many of his films feature images of his family and his companion, Ondine. Jacoby sat for a portrait by Alice Neel, titled "Rose Fried's Nephew". He died November 19, 1985 at the age of 40. |
