Ukhtomsky, Dmitry (Russian architect and teacher, born 1719, died 1774 or 1775)

Note: In June 1733, Dmitrii Vasil'evich Ukhtomskii was sent to train under the Moscow architect Ivan Michurin, and in 1741 he was transferred to a pupillage under Ivan Korobov. On 16 September 1745, Ukhtomskii was appointed architect to the Moscow police, and until 1760 was engaged in drawing up plans for districts of Moscow that had been destroyed by fire. Ukhtomskii founded the first Russian architectural school in 1749.
