Note: The Wohnbedarf AG. was founded in 1931 by Sigfried Giedion, Rudolf Graber and Werner Max Moser. Wladimir Rosenbaum was president of the board of directors from 1931 to 1934. Rudolf Steiger and Walter Rieben acted as the accountants for the Wohnbedarf AG. Walter Custer was the director of the company from July 1933 to July 1934, Giedion was director from July 1934 to December 1934, Moser was director from December 1934 to January 1935 and Graber was director from 1935. The Wohnbedarf AG. made the furniture for the model houses and apartments at the Werkbundsiedlung Neubühl in Zurich, Switzerland in 1931 and 1933. They built the furniture based on designs by Max Ernst Haefeli, Carl Hubacher, Le Corbusier, Werner Max Moser, Charlotte Perriand, Rudolf Steiger, Flora Steiger-Crawford and Alfred Roth. The Wohnbedarf AG. closed in the first half of the 1940s. Further research is needed to determine if closure was permanent.
