Huntington, Arabella D. (American collector, 1850-1924)
|
Note: Second husband was Collis P. Huntington (m.1884); third husband was Collis' nephew, Henry Edwards Huntington (m.1913). Archer Miller Huntington was her son by her first marriage. Acquired most of her collection through Duveen, including a number of objects from the Rodolphe Kann Collection, and Gainsborough's "Blue Boy." These are now at the Huntington Library in San Marino. She also inherited life interest in Collis Huntington's pictures; after her death her son Archer waived his life interest and they passed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. MH
