Note: Agency responsible for the management of the main EU assistance programmes in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (the Republic of Serbia, Kosovo, and the Republic of Montenegro) and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM). It was established in February 2000 and has its headquarters in Thessaloniki, with operational centers in Belgrade, Pristina, Podgorica and Skopje. It is an independent agency of the European Union, accountable to the European Council and the European Parliament, and overseen by a Governing Board composed of the European Commission and representatives from EU Member States. |
