Richards, John Inigo (English painter and scenographer, 1731-1810)

Note: Successful painter at Covent Garden in London; he was the Principal Painter of the theater from 1777 to 1803. He exhibited his popular landscapes, ruin pieces, and capriccios in many venues in England. He was a founder-member of the Royal Academy and was elected its Secretary in 1786.
